Faith is not a skill we master!

Faith is not a skill we master.  It's not an impenetrable shield that protects us from life's hardships and trials.  It's not a magic potion that removes every mess.  It's a map we follow.

It's designed to guide us on a path called righteousness.  Along the way, it doesn't promise to fix every flat tire.  It's won't reroute us around every traffic jam.  It won't even stop the road rage of the crazy guy we cut off at the merge.

But it will take us exactly where God want us to go.  And isn't that where we want to be?

Old School Candy Brings Back Memories!

I was just given one of the BEST Christmas gifts I could have ever been given... Memories of my childhood.  Ok... I was given this wrapping of Old School Christmas Candy with the super large peppermint stick that my Dad use to love!  My mom would buy him 10 or 15 of them every Christmas and his eyes would light up.  Hey...See the marshmallow colored candy?  Yeah....All of that is Old School.  Great memories of Mom, Dad and Christmas past.  Thanks :-)

Even Charlie Brown had it right.

Have you observed how today's Christmas specials on TV just don't do it like the old school cartoons?  Where's the Charlie Brown specials on CBS?  Why haven't the radio stations been playing Alvin & The Chipmunks?  Our kids are sooooooo deprived.  Well, thanks to the magic of YouTube we can enjoy them once again.  Merry Christmas!!!
